I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits, good enviornment, great new learning opportunities, great new schedules,

    Cons

None really, I just wish there was better communication

    Advice to Management

When one manager says to do one thing and the other says to do the other and you get in trouble for not doing what the other manager said to do. Confusing and not fair for associates, better communication and management to stop clashing when telling associates to do two things at once.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I actually worked here 9 years in total but not continuously. When the company has a good staffing level it can be a great experience. You got a discount but it didn’t really cover groceries or not when I worked there.

    Cons

Walmart is trying to chase and beat Amazon in the online retail so they have gotten worse when it comes to employees. Unless you truly don’t want to have a personal life, don’t make Walmart a permanent career choice.

    Advice to Management

Don’t sacrifice yourself to Walmart. Remember that at the end of the day you too are expendable the same as the lowest workers all the way down to the cart pusher or door greeter. Don’t run the employees ragged and listen everyone once in a while.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun place to work a lot of customer contact and that is what I live for!

    Cons

If any thing long hours with not so great rate of pay. However very rewarding solving the customers needs.

    Advice to Management

I think that Walmart has too many Chiefs not enough Indians. What I mean they all seem to do the same job.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is reasonable at $11. The people are interesting and the work isn’t too difficult. They supply you with water and sunscreen (if you work outside).

    Cons

They cut hours without any notice and the scheduling system has changed recently so it’s screwed a lot of people at my Walmart to the point that they need to find a new job.

    Advice to Management

Just go back to the old scheduling system
