    I worked at Walmart full-time

    Pros

Benefits are offered and room for advancement.

    Cons

Micromanaging is a big thing for all managers. This doesn't happen to just one store, it happens everywhere because that is what they're trained to do. A few employees have gotten injured multiple times on the job because they work you to the bone and no appreciation from any upper management. Black friday is the worst day of your life. No time with your family for the holidays and 10% discount is offered (total). Horrible...

I have been working at Walmart full-time

    Pros

Work in the warehouse. Best part is I dont have to talk to customers most of the day. Managers are cool.

    Cons

Pay isnt great, no employee restrooms, crackheads take showers in the bathroom, the smoking section outside is like home for crackheads. Some coworkers cant memorize like 20 numbers (truck unloading process) and they mess everything up. Apathy for the job, some dude walked out midshift, the pallet jacks are all messed up, rocket carts are jankey, PLE barely works, hell nobody is certified to even use it so it dosnt matter.

    Advice to Management

Please, lets hook it up with some suggestion boxes. See what the peons want . MOst of the managers are cool, but the overnight managers expect to much from cap2

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It re-hires previous employee as long as there is a need and they were not dismissed for gross-misconduct

    Cons

Maintaining a store looking good can be challenging on the weekends due to reduce staffing.

    Advice to Management

    be consistent on coaching employees.

Current Employee - Overnight Stocker in Orange, CA

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Walmart

    Pros

-extra pay for working overnight -quarterly bonus (depends on your average worked hours) -not having to deal with customers, of course

    Cons

-overnight assistant managers can be abusive just because they can get away with it more easily, some can be completely unprofessional -favoritism goes on -people who actually work get attacked on more often than those who don't (managers like the reaction, I guess?)

    Advice to Management

It is easy to pick up on how much you love your position of power. If you keep picking on people who actually do their job, eventually they'll do their job half-assed or call out. Pick on people who aren't doing their job and leave the ones who are alone. Simple.

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Getting foot in the door is relatively easy and no discrimination. There are many oppurtunities in advancing a career in upper management or other positions and many locations worldwide.

    Cons

Such as in retail goes, pay is average and work is very physical depending on positions. Holidays are spent working due to it's retail and customer service oriented. Consumers and economy is a driving force

    Advice to Management

Generally speaking, the changes in this company have somewhat made it difficult to want to reach higher goals due to increases are anually and do not offer merit type bonuses. This hurts moral in more ways than one. There are many employees working at hourly level and seems not all management are always on the same page.
