I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Decent pay for decent work.

    Cons

Management is incompetent, all they know how to do is bully people and hold their jobs over their heads. Once you get over the fear of losing your job they make harass you until you quit or mess up and fire you.

    Advice to Management

Positive re-enforcement goes a long way. The management bullying is fun and games and going head to head with managers has been the most fun I've experienced, but some good hard working loyal workers don't need it.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

1 hour lunch, two 15 minute breaks, bonuses are nice, PTO

    Cons

Lack of hours, careless management, seems like you aren't really part of a team

    Advice to Management

Please listen and pay more attention to your associates. Praise them when they do well, and push them to try harder when they don't.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Many options to move up in the company fast if you are willing to learn new things.

    Cons

Being successful hinges on the management at the store you work at. My store wanted people to move up whenever an opportunity came up but other stores only promote people to have a middle management lifetime position.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Feel like family with other associates, but NOT with mgt. 401K

    Cons

Treat associates with total disrespect. Unrealistic expectations. Never hold the right people accountable. Mgt. doesn't attempt to fix/resolve issues: "It is what it is!", "Deal with it!", "Figure something out!"

    Advice to Management

Your associates are people, NOT slaves!
