    I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Know your schedule 3 weeks in advance. Fairly Easy to book time off. Great breaks for what you work. I get 2 15 minute breaks and an hour lunch when I work 8 hours.

    Cons

    Because of being hired as part time can’t get any Benefits until I’ve been there for at least a year.

    Advice to Management

    Organization is key.

    Pros

    You have some freedom with your breaks and what you do with your time.

    Cons

    The majority of management seemed to care far more about how much work is being done than ensuring their employees needs are met.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees and respect their needs. Don't make your employees bend over backwards for things that should be simple if you help at all.

    Pros

    Learned transferable skills and got to work with a good team of people, staff is generally fairly pleasant to work with.

    Cons

    Part-time work usually means your lucky to get 20-30 hours a week stretched over a 5-6 day period.

    Pros

    - Flex Posistion allows you to keep job as a student. Work a minimum of 4 hours every 8 weeks.
    - Pays 14.45, a little more than minimum wage

    Cons

    - Don’t always get full time hours, even if available (Depends on amount of staff)

    I have been working at Walmart (Less than a year)

    Pros

    They were pretty flexible with your hours for part-time staff and considerate about giving time off during exam season if you're a student.

    Cons

    They force you to sell the Walmart MasterCard and don't understand that it's annoying to customers and ruins the interaction. Management also doesn't do much about customers who berate and abuse workers.

    Advice to Management

    Stop letting customers harass your workers. It makes them not want to be in that environment.
