    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Walmart for more than 10 years

    Pros

Easy to learn all the areas of the store. Walmart's handheld devices (that you use to look up items and so forth) are fairly easy to understand once you get a chance to utilize them. You can promote up if you know the right people to talk to.

    Cons

Have to deal with rude customers, management, not enough hours. It can be hard to move up in the company if you have managers that will not give you a chance. I have all the knowledge, skills, and experience to do anything in the store, yet I can't get a break when it comes to a promotion.

    Advice to Management

Be more objective about what your employees can do for you. Try to learn first hand how they perform rather than take the word of a second party.

I worked at Walmart part-time for more than a year

    Pros

when I worked at walmart I was a cart pusher and its probably the best job in the store. Your outside and getting physical exercise, plus you dont have someone following you around everywhere watching your every move. Great job if you have something like a school schedule to work around

    Cons

when it comes to the wages, they're at the bottom. This wouldn't be a problem except that walmart is one of the largest retailers in the world. managers are not the friendliest

    Advice to Management

speak clearly and quickly, they dont have time to stand around
