I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Walmart is a big company, therefore, I receive all the benefits I could want including vision, medical and dental insurance.

    Cons

    Not enough staff.
Does not pay enough to keep techs inside the company as a career.

    Advice to Management

Managers should hire more technicians to have more on standby when people call off.
Certified Technicians should also be paid more in order to keep people at a living wage.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Discount card... that's about it, anything good they take away.

    Cons

They are a corporate machine and you don't matter at all. I should have left a long time ago.

    Advice to Management

Doesn't matter you'll be gone in 6 months, their expectations of you are always unrealistic.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

All of the managers I worked with throughout my 7 years with this company were wonderful, they truly cared about their associates and the wellbeing of their families.

    Cons

Pay definitely has gotten better for newer employees, but it hurt some of the long term staff.
Repetitive rearranging of products, not enough time to manage other projects.

    Advice to Management

Set realist goals and try to assign two associates to a project in order to keep production up.
