I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Walmart is a big company, therefore, I receive all the benefits I could want including vision, medical and dental insurance.

    Cons

    Not enough staff.
Does not pay enough to keep techs inside the company as a career.

    Advice to Management

Managers should hire more technicians to have more on standby when people call off.
Certified Technicians should also be paid more in order to keep people at a living wage.

    Pros

    - Reasonable amount of help
    - Good medical/dental plans
    - Good technology to assist with work

    Cons

    - Low starting pay
    - Need better raises for performance. The difference between a lackluster employee and the top is a percentage point. No reward for hard work or sticking around long term

    Advice to Management

You have no say in corporate policy so not much you can do

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    It was a job.

    Cons

They will never value their employees as much as the products on their shelves. Everyone is replaceable and nobody matters. I would never work here again.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It paid the bills. Covered the cost of my Technician license as well. A few nice or sweet coworkers.

    Cons

Poor management at all levels resulted in frequent struggles with staffing, workflow, and stress. Frequently exposed to homophobic, sexist, and racist ranting with no safe avenue for reporting in such a small workforce. The only reason to show up was to get paid.
