I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Depending on the store you get quarterly bonuses based on sales of the store, my most recent bonus was $550. I am not going to lie, its fun, my coworkers are awesome and i have an extremely easy job.

    Cons

No room for people who aren't corporate drones to get any sort of advancement, favoritism, bias, miscommunication between managers resulting in confusing and differing answers depending on the day, infighting.

    Advice to Management

Treat your loyal employees better, the ones that have been there longest should be able to promote!

I have been working at Walmart (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy Job to get, Decent about hours and a good starting point for experience in customer service

    Cons

Management seems to be overworked and don't seem super qualified to be in their positions at times. Shifts are almost never regular and you will sometimes work vastly different shift times on a day to day basis. Also no guaranteed hours even if you are a full time employee, often you will get scheduled by the automatic scheduling system for less than 35 hours and have to chase a manager down to correct it if they can.

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Full time
    Breaks
    Bathroom breaks
Gain skills that are useful to other employers

    Cons

Easily offended coworkers (All I ask is how their day is), immature kids that works with you, no time for friends/family, lack of training, will have to learn fast on your own, some of coworkers are bullies, equipments are out of date, coworkers or higher ups can be racist, you will work harder than any other Walmart employees and receive the same pay, and high turnover rates.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay for Cap members, replace old equipments that are broken( corporate ), take time to train new workers better, and deal with bullies and immature punks without pushing the worker to report about it when it happens in front of you.
