I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pays just over / over minimum wage in most states

Full-time (and part time i think after a while) get access to benefits after 90 days

Generally flexible hours for part time and full time across all hourly positions. Depends on store.

Bonuses such as quarterly & store performance incentives.

    Cons

The company itself cares less about it’s employees than most, which isn’t a shocker. New policies are instated constantly that only hurt employees in the long run. If you get sick or need to take the day off? forget having PTO, it takes you up to 2 months to earn 1 day, and that’s only for full time employees.

Full time is extremely hard to get unless you’re working on the front end or are grandfathered in on the floor. Part time is all they want generally, so hours are about 15ish a week on average there.

It’s customer service, so if you enjoy that this is a pro, if not, do not expect to enjoy working at walmart.

Quarterly bonuses depend on the store/area, so some stores get way more than others. It’s also now percentage based and tied to attendance but the actual ranking system leaves no room for emergencies & etc.

    Advice to Management

Actually consider what your employees need vs what’s easier for the company, but that’s being optimistic

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay here was really good and it was nice to familiarize with some of the families/people who would shop here.

    Cons

The management was very poor, full of favoritism. Coworkers gossip rather than work.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone as equals unless there’s a valid reason why someone doesn’t deserve good treatment.

    I worked at Walmart part-time

    Pros

The pay wage was pretty good, scheduling was very organized and flexible.

    Cons

The breaks given here could have been better, I believe if you work more than 6 hours, you need at least a 30 min break, while they gave 15 min breaks.
