I have been working at Walmart part-time

    Pros

Pay only look good if you get over time (only when they ask), other than that nothing good about working there.

    Cons

Managers talk to us any kind of way, they literally just stand there and watch us work like they're waiting for something, associates in the backroom work in heat, they stay firing cashiers, the whole processing thing is too much... the job may look good but it's not. They don't even want us talking while we work.. they treat us like we're kids. They promote who they want to promote by favoritism ,( a manager helped her "girlfriend" get the position I was being trained for) dead wrong.. they tell you they're thinking about promoting you to a certain position then end up giving it to someone else ( makes you want to just quit) managers make you work over time then don't approve it ( extra hard work for nothing) they treat the cap team associates soooo wrong, when they work the hardest but should get paid the most ( no i am not a cap member) but they deserve better.. managers ignore us when we knock on the ad office door all the time, they make us stay over our time but never approve our time if they do we get a write up

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

What is a pro about this job? Some people might have pros but I don't. I grew up in bentonville (the heart of Walmart) and have seen it grow and seen it grow into a mindless company.

    Cons

To many list. The management is trash. If they had any logic maybe just maybe this company would have success. The associate get the worst end. They are encouraged to be positive and put on an obvious fake smile. I see it all the time and I disappoints me. And finally the customers. The NUMBER ONE person Walmart gives an actual crap about. The only real reason is because they carry money that fills the wallet of corporate and the lazy store managers. Seriously you can't fool anyone. All they truly care about is money and therefore customers are number one, above the associates that Sam Walton said were more important.

    Advice to Management

Quit acting like you know it all. You guys used to be good at one point and now you just stand around and talk about non work related material, while yelling at other associates for doing it while actually working.
