I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is GREAT. They treat you like a friend. Very understanding about your situation as well. This will be my first job and it’s probably the best decision I could have made.

    Cons

Attendance is huge to them. If you do mess up your chance with Walmart you will be asked why u quit or got fired from the number one retail store and that looks bad on you.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to shape your job. Good work-life balance. Lots of opportunities IF (but only if) you have a well-connected boss.

    Cons

You have to shut your mouth. The ISD department is full of old-timers (15-20 years) that are not smart in an IQ sense but they have the political game perfected. The non-political ones are laid off by now. For these people, their life is in Bentonville AR and if they get laid off they are unlikely to get another local job or even any other job. They know that senior newcomers may point out things that are not working and thus be a threat to their survival. The safest bet for these old-timers is to hire droves of junior Indian subcontractors that do what they are told without questioning.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They work with my college school schedule. I only work Friday through Monday. I have Tuesday through Thursday off, even through the school holidays.

    Cons

They don't hire very many motivated people. They hire a lot of druggies. They hire people who are not people persons.

    Advice to Management

Fire people who need to be fired. The people who do not do their jobs should be let go, because it makes it hard on the people who actually do their job.
