I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job isn't very difficult if you're nice

    Cons

Managers will make you do non-electronics tasks all day
You will be asked to learn the roles of 5 or so departments and cover them
You will put up 2 - 4 hours of freight ( merchandise ) every day.
You will be expected to climb past all of the truck freight that blocks your TVs late evenings to reach a TV a customer asked for while shopping at 11PM
You will have many 'clopening' closing and then opening schedules

    Advice to Management

Respect break and lunch periods of the associates.

    Pros

Meeting new people was a plus for me and the 10% discount helped out a lot during the holidays. Wonderful environment.

I worked at Walmart (More than a year)

    Pros

Extra incentive pay based off of production; weekend shift is only 3 days; overtime pay is about $25-27 time and a half! Management and benefits are awesome; loved the company and can't wait until I return back.

    Cons

Very physical and a little tiring some days, but well worth the work output and pay. If you can nake production, which the manager and even HR manager work a LONG time with you, then you're golden in the company. You can only get better at what you do with a self-motivated work ethic.

    Advice to Management

    By seniority
