I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Gain customer service experience
You can have a life outside of work
    10% discount

    Cons

Lack of recognition for your efforts when you go above and beyond the average
You cannot afford a life outside of work

    Advice to Management

The culture you have created due to lack of recognition via verbal affirmation for efforts above and beyond the norm makes customer gratitude virtually worthless. Periodic verbal praises and thank you(s) would go a long way to boost productivity and make this job worth it.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No Pros at all from walmart.

    Cons

Management, forced to work either 4 am to 1 PM or 1 PM to 10 PM if you work in the fresh areas, not paid enough for work expected from you, management doesn't care about their employees, management promising something and never doing it, etc.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees fairly, dont have them cut hours worked so you get hire bonuses, stop being selfish, dont treat your employees like slaves, treat others how you want to be treated.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Always plenty of work to keep you busy. You can learn other departments if you ask them to teach you when they are short handed.

    Cons

They do not seem to promote with in their own departments . They do not automatically cross train you in various departments.

    Advice to Management

Cross training your employees would not only assist when you are short handed but in overall daily functions. Then you would always have coverage.
