    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 4 years

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

The customers were friendly and I enjoyed developing a relationship with them.

    Cons

Staff didn’t work together as a team, turnover was high and management took away needed tech hours.

    Advice to Management

Don’t follow CVS in driving off or firing your staff with increasing responsibilities and metrics to hit while cutting staff and leaving pharmacists with low staff to run the store. Ageism is evident in staff terminations.

I worked at Walmart for more than 9 years

    Pros

Kinda good money, its not good when you realize how many hours you are working and how many people you supervise.

    Cons

No work/life balance. Expect to work a min. of 60 hours a week and skip most of your lunches. Very stressful environment.

    Pros

Walmart has great benefits and the actual job itself is incredible. The other employees are generally really nice.

    Cons

Having to work every single holiday.

    Advice to Management

Remember who made this company and the principals and ethics it was built on.

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay is fair for new employees.

They will overwork you and ask for unrealistic time to make you finish what you are working.

    Advice to Management

Just don't think about your bonus. You need to hire more people especially in our store.

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

It's a job. It's a paycheck. It has catastrophic insurance. Most of the associates are great people. You get a discount card.

    Cons

Management, on the whole, is the most untrained, unskilled, under educated lot that I have ever dealt with. Home Office doesn't have a clue. Way too many demands on department managers, associates and even assistant managers. Not enough employees to take care of business. No one on the sales floor. And the ones who are are pulled to a different department, like Grocery, and leave the rest of the store unattended. Shrink...

    Advice to Management

Well. It starts from the top down. So the store managers hands are tied and it goes down the line. Can't blame them totally. It starts at the HOME front.
