      I worked at Walmart

      Pros

Good hourly talent base at most stores

      Cons

Not many. From time to time, stores are affected adversely due to toxic leadership, but overall good.

      Advice to Management

Invest in associate training and store standards

I worked at Walmart for more than 10 years

      Pros

If you are an hourly worker and have completely open availability, you will do okay as long as you work hard. There are times when you are treated badly but associates need to know they can go to management to complain about bad working conditions. Its usually management that needs to watch their back.

      Cons

If you don't have open availability, you won't get hours to work. Also, Walmart isn't hiring full-time anymore. If you are very, very lucky, you may move into a full-time position but it's rare.

      Advice to Management

      Take care of your associates!

I have been working at Walmart full-time

      Pros

The best things about working here in management is the pay. They pay more than the average retailer.

      Cons

The cons are that you will work to much. They act as if they have a work/life balance, but that is not true. If you are not married to the job- you will fail. They call you on your days off and are very demanding of your time even away from work.

      Advice to Management

Come to work and stop leaving it all up to other managers.

      I worked at Walmart

      Pros

Training in some fields are better than others at Walmart. Hourly associates usually learn with time, through coachings, trial and error. Not alot of emphasis on training hourly associates. I enjoyed the experience of meeting and working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures, developing relationships and networking.

      Cons

Respect for one another is not a common practice, retaliation is happening, favoritism is alive and well...doesnt seem like you can trust management in the store.

      Advice to Management

Treat your people right, dont retaliate- it's wrong, favor everyone not just a few, have integrity yourself
