I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Great coworkers at the 2 stores I've worked at
    -Flexible scheduling
    -Clean

    Cons

    -Some bad managers previously
-Not enough people working some positions (people have to fill in other positions in store to keep up)
-Training seems to be more propaganda direction wise rather than teaching more important things besides the companies history.

    Advice to Management

Talk to workers 1 on 1 to help smooth things out in stores
Hire more people for every position, there's always a lack of cashiers open for customers

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Sales experience is good, networking (you meet a ton of people!), and it is easier to get noticed in electronics than any other dept. I have worked in.

    Cons

You are stretched thin a lot, need to be good at multi-tasking and taking care of business when others may not!

    Advice to Management

LISTEN to your little people or they will eventually get fed up with giving it their all with no respect in return and will find a company that will respect them.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work with great people. Everyone has potential to become management.
We earn quarterly bonuses based on sales, profit, accidents, and score cards.
Great starting wage around this area of $11.
If you work hard and are friendly within your area ya should do great.

    Cons

Managers are hypocrites. They preach to say hi or can I help you if anyone’s within ten feet of me, but THEY do not practice this rule at all.
And most are just not friendly to us associates.

    Advice to Management

Be humble, remain friendly no matter what, speak to associates because a lot of us have college degrees, life experience, and worked as Mngmnt before.
You’ll never know unless you speak to us!

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pros of working at Wal-Mart are that there is great communication between associates and management. We create a safe work environment for both employees and our customers.

    Cons

The downside depending on which location you work at, is that sometimes if there is trouble with scheduling an associate or if the associate working in that area calls in and does not show up for their scheduled shift. You may be pulled to that area to ensure that there is an employee working in that area at all times

    Pros

You get a 10% discount on everything

    Cons

You're constantly being pulled from your department to others and then punished for not being in your department when you're supposed to be.

You have opportunities for advancement as long as you don't think for yourself.

They force you to become a cashier and pull you whenever they deem it necessary.

    Advice to Management
