I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I need this job to earn an honest living. I want this job because I'm a hard worker who enjoys keeping things neat and clean. I have excellent references. I live nearby. I learn fast.

    Cons

The boss can't see that you are working hard or putting in extra hours, so you are judged more on the numbers than your work ethic and other intangible factors.

    Advice to Management

Be a good role model and help your employees understand what they need to do.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Because I'm stocking, I can stock wherever my manager wants me too and not get bored because there are a lot of different departments. I like to move around when I work so I don't lose interest in a task I'm doing repeatedly.

    Cons

The only downside I can think of working at Wal-Mart is that I'm a new employee and still don't know where every thing is, so I feel really guilty when I can't tell/show a customer where an item they are looking for is.

    Pros

Great working environment. a right balance of work and life (most of the time)

    Cons

    Advice to Management

A better selective process. you can see some highly skilled, smart and highly efficient people working at a level while some people on the same positions are totally on other end of spectrum

    Pros

    Cons

Depending upon your manager, your work-life balance may not exist at all. Food is pathetic but if you have a car, you can always go to restaurants nearby.
