I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There is no push to “get the patient to buy” (even though they usually do since prices are low) and no quotas to meet with relying on commission for pay unlike some other companies.

    Cons

Some people think that just because we’re in a Walmart, that we’re not professionals until they actually stop in and see that’s not the case. We’re as professional as any other optical business, just with the Walmart “everyday low prices.”

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work there provides an opportunity to expand on your skills. Not only is it a physical job, but it's with social and mental aspects, as well. It certainly gave me a reason to cancel my gym membership.

    Cons

Considering that I was okay with the job in and of itself, and the bosses were okay for the most part, my only issue was with the co-workers. Many of them were good people, but some got under my skin something fierce.
