I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

Horrible hours and there can be a few old grumpy people.

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have no other option they will hire you. They don't drug test so smoke all the weed you want.

    Cons

Everything about the place sucks. Everyone has anger management problems and fight all day or they are on crack or smoking weed in the parking lot.

    Advice to Management

Start treating people like humans and stop making false promises to your employees.

Sometomes you get bonuses. Integrated healthcare service which is pretty awful.

    Cons

Huge workload, bad pay, and they treat you awful. They're to greedy to pay you a living wage.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I was paid every other week.

    Cons

Customers were rude. Managers did not care about employees. Asking for time off during the holidays was laughed at. As a part-time employee who lived in the state only for college and whose entire family lived across the country they had no empathy or care. You were paid very minimally and there was very little chance to move up in the company.

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I never found a pro while working here this time just an all around bad experience

    Cons

The challenges: terrible management, lazy co-workers, upper management constantly violating company policies, told by management to violate company policy refused got write up another occasion I did and I was still written up

    Advice to Management

Realize that you put your pants on the same as everyone else

    Pros

    Unloading trucks is fun.
Learn to use a pallet jack

    Cons

Pay sucks for the amount of work expected. You will have a easier time working at McDonalds and still get paid about the same.
    People are always quitting.

    Advice to Management

Raise the hourly wage for the people who do the most work.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Finding ways for the company to still collect money for a product but informing clients about ways to save them hundreds of dollars.

    Cons

Biggest challenge is working with corruption.
Good Luck trying to get corporate involved with:
    • HIPPA Violations,
    • Filling errors (dispensing incorrect medication or dispensing too much, or not enough medication),
    • and discrimination against co-workers and clients
Corporate will allow the corruption because they only care about sales.
