I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The “Wal-Mart economy” is good for American low-income families who cannot afford to purchase more expensive products made in the US.

    Cons

A culture that can be summed up in four words: Clock in, clock out.

    Advice to Management

Lucky enough to have worked under the overnight manager at the time, a highly-motivated, good leader. Keep up the excellent work.

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can get benefits, it does take time but that's only fair. Always something to do, keeping you busy and active. Other employees in your department are friendly.

    Cons

Management seems a little cold and distant. There is no list of what needs to be done that day with what is in the back or what just came in. Higher ups just merely tell everyone what needs to be done, so once you're done with one task you have to ask for another instead of just looking and seeing what needs to happen next.

    Advice to Management

Just having a meeting with about what needs to happen that day or that isn't the best way to get stock out to the floor or moving things around. Lists or notes for the departments seems better, then just telling the employees what to do once those are done if they get completed.
