I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Some of the people you work with are the best and there isn't a reason to ever be bored because there is always something to do.

    Cons

Management is not always on the same page and some of the people hired shouldn't be allowed to work.

I worked at Walmart part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

I had a 401k, which I can still use towards my future. I realky liked having health coverage, and dental as well.

    Cons

They don't care if you are in pain, you are not allowed to sit down, even if you are stationary dur7ng your shift.

    Advice to Management

Not all who complain of mistreatment are simply lazy or trying to start trouble. Please take into consideration the education and potential of even your lowest wage employees. Being dismissed simply because of class or pay grade degrades and dehumanizes us.

I worked at Walmart part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The paychecks arrived on time. And that's about the best part of working there, unless you are senior management. Anything below that...read the cons.

    Cons

Harsh attendance policy. No living wage, barely minimum wage. Culture of CYOA from top to bottom. Seriously understaffed, causing some to have to work a shift in a department alone. Sometimes more than one.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice for management. I have yet to meet a member of management at three separate stores that I thought had the capability of being somewhat human. They have all been abysmal, despite each of the stores I worked at gladly taking me back if I so desired to return.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

show your workers your not afraid to come out to the floor and help

    I worked at Walmart

    Pros

This job worked pretty good with my college. Many shifts to choose from and you just come in punch the clock and do what you have to do and leave really. My co workers were awesome and time flew as I worked the third shift,

    Cons

You are not really looking at progression in this "cashier, stocker type" positions. The people that move upward and onward are the ones who already hold the positions at the top. Management is to be desired.

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

having a job is the only pro I have

    Cons

associates treated poorly, discriminated against because of where they come from.

    Advice to Management

Respect goes a long way, along with being able to move up in the company regardless of where you are from.

Time is precious, its one thing you spend and can never get back. Don't waist the customers time.

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Wal-Mart usually has the basic shopper needs, if it is in stock. It is not often that what I need is not in stock. The prices are usually the lowest on everyday needs. Wal-Mart is a habit, you trust that you will be getting the best price for what you need and keep you from hunting through adds and sales papers. Walmart's one stop to shop multiple needs makes it easier on the busy lifestyle customers have these days.

    Cons

Customer service is just not there anymore. The employees never look happy. They look so stressed or focused on task that it feels like an inconvenience to stop them for help. When you do ask someone to help, they usually reply, " I don't know ". It is either they don't know the area or product in the store or they don't know who works in the area. Lines are too long to check out, and there are always just a handful...

    Advice to Management

Make your employees happy and they will make your customers happy. Keep registers open and running swiftly or customers WILL go somewhere else to shop. It is bad when even the employees will clock out and leave the store, and shop somewhere else to avoid long lines.
