I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Many available positions
Pay its better than any minimum wage out there
    Biweekly paycheck
Steady work, lots of hours available
    Learning experience
Room to grow with the company
It's super hard to get fired, job security

    Cons

    Under staff specially on holidays
    Need better training
Managers in some stores need to actually get to know their employees
They don't care what's the excuse for your absences
Hard to get into a manager program because managers love it and they don't want to leave (con/pro)

    Advice to Management

Get to know your employees personally
Work with them, allow store managers to make decisions on attendance and coaching hire more full timers, offer for training before shoving a cashier on the floor . whatch the attitudes of this employees, some of them are just too rudr for retail
