I have been working at Walmart part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

You get between 25-30 hours a week at $10.56 an hour, associates become family, good exercise. I do get a satisfaction from helping customers find things.

    Cons

There making those working evening shifts work until 1am but they are still iffy on it. Schedule is sometimes messed up.

    Advice to Management

    Get organized!!!

I have been working at Walmart

    Pros

Walmart is a strong company with room for advancement. For the most part good, reliable people work at this company.

    Cons

I was hired, and moved 200 miles, for a full time position and am now getting under 20 hours a week. My understanding is that after 16 weeks I will be forced to go part time which will prevent my being eligible to participate in the new "short term disability" program which would have paid me half a paycheck while I recover from the birth of my baby this summer. I'm a three year associate! This is CRAP!

    Advice to Management

You need to watch your managers more closely. Who did they hire and is that person getting the deal they expected to get? It is a hardship for an associate to move their family for a job and very dissatisfying to find out that the job they moved for isn't what was advertised.

I have been working at Walmart part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Part time usually gets between 25-32 hours a week and they just changed the system so everybody gets raises yearly but they are only 2% of you make so that's just 20 cents currently.

    Cons

Depending on where you work, they are short staffed and will constantly pull you from your department to fix another department and then complain that your department is terrible. I don't know if they are going to go through with this one but they eliminated morning shifts in apparel and are making all closers work until 2am. Management is unorganized sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Try to be approachable so that associates may come and talk to you if need be and work with the schedules or students and parents. I am sure many stores do but there are some that don't
