I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Employees are protected by company policies and procedures. Open door policy allows for anonymous employee complaints to be discussed without retaliation. Health benefits are good. Profit sharing, bonus & employee discounts; perkopolis & discount card, paid overtime after 8 hour day and or 40 hour week. Paid vacation time off, ranging from 2 weeks to 5 weeks yearly depending on the employee & time served with the company. Exciting atmosphere; seasonal displays & festive environment. Highly diversified workplace. Always keep in mind that the company wants to try to keep the staff they've trained. There are many avenues to assist employees to achieve overall job satisfaction.

    Cons

It depends on the location. The hours of operation and coverage or staffing vary depending on location. Individual success is heavily reliant on team effort.

    Advice to Management

The right location plays a huge factor in overall job satisfaction.
