I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Fast paced short handed money

    Cons

Customers have hostile attitudes . walmart fosters this by constantly being out of product. management says open door policy but then counters with not that open. they think it is funny and make fun of the customer behind their backs,,, so rude they are and i dont believe they really care. Sam Walton would have a fit to them on their phone texting and disregard to the customers and employees.

    Advice to Management

let the complaints to management go up the ladder and tell store mangers and district managers (or what ever title they are this year) to not squelch the complaints. the customers feel it does not do any good and nothing will come from it and so they remain hostile and expect bad service from walmart

    Pros

Fairly good mgt. training program. Bonus program. Company offers many career paths. Opportunity for advancement is excellent for the right person. Compensation and bonuses fairly good.

    Cons

Frequent low morale among management and associates. Too many chiefs, not enough indians, poorly implemented company programs.

    Advice to Management

Follow your daily routine as closely as possible. Stay on top of company compliance issues. This can get you into serious trouble, including termination.
