    Pros

Good management and environment they attempt to help you out when you need more training or it's busy

    Cons

Changing schedules, as a company they do not make managers create schedules but have a program that does it for them

Former Employee - Department Manager in Warrenton, VA

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

set hours, had to come in early or stay late sometimes not often. Loved dealing with the customers on a daily basis, giving my input on a product that they are looking to purchase.

    Cons

sometimes overnights stock would put product in the wrong place and it was my job to find it or overstock shelves and makes it look so unorganized

    Advice to Management

Don't want to listen to your idea there way was always the right way to do something. Some managers had no clue how to run certain machines in the store and as a manager you should know every inch, every machine in that store.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the people are fantastic. The customers are very friendly. Old schedule was seven to four Monday-Friday. Pay was recently increased across the board.

    Cons

Management is incompetent and uncaring. It's a very high school like atmosphere among management. If you don't make a good impression on the store manager you will never move up in the company. Don't worry he will tell you so to your face.

    Advice to Management

Have a private conversation with the management time about appropriate conduct. Also start promoting qualified people not just favorites.
