I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

10% off discount for employees was very good. They give you a lot of hours. I always had nice big checks but the crap I had to deal with wasn't worth it at all.

    Cons

Employees are lazy and bossy. Managers treat you like crap, they only give you 1 week vacation and it can't be any time of the year. You would never be able to get any of the holidays off to be with your family. This job was almost as bad as cleaning the sewer.

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect especially the ones who deserve it. Offer rewards to those who offered great customer service. I'm sure if you do that every once in awhile it would make people work harder. Do parties and activities for the employees to make them feel appreciated.
