I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Literally nothing. It’s just money.

    Cons

Everything. This is the worst place I have ever worked. There is no respect to the employees from the customers or managers. No one helps you when you first start out like me. They just watch you fail and he’ll at you for everything you do wrong.

    Advice to Management

Stop being the worst. You all suck

I have been working at Walmart (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed my time working at Wal-Mart and enjoyed being able to help customers and do whatever needed to help their shopping experience.

    Cons

At this particular Wal-Mart (Whitinsville) , Front End Customer Service Managers (Generally second shift) , Very talkative , Cliquey , More about personal-lives than actual work. I've never been able to speak one on one with them without asking to pull them aside personally. This can be problematic as far as area covered and speed in which tasks are achieved. I have saved this review on a word document and intend to check and repost weekly so future applicants remain aware.

    Advice to Management

Keep a closer eye on the productivity of your managers. Doing is worth more than delegating.

The absolute worse management, (store managers ASM's) ever! Never in my entire career have I had the worse people in my work life! They all are little people acting like dictators to the associates in each and every department

    Advice to Management

Quit promoting people without doing a through investigation and do not put them in a position that displays their "Own level of incompetence!!

I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a great company to work for most of the time. They have great benefits like a discount program, insurance and paid time off.

    Cons

The managers do not pay attention to you unless you have worked there long enough to teach yourself the job. It is kind of sad what the new hires have to go through to get a question answered.

    Advice to Management

It would be wonderful if you could be more attentive to the employees. Show them you care...even if you don't. There were times when I started that I was handed a telexon or an MC 40 and literally had no idea what to do with it. When I turned to ask, the manager was gone.
