I have been working at Walmart eCommerce full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Smart, driven people here really want to make a difference in our customer's lives and really do strive to deliver the best possible technology to accomplish that goal.
Secondly, even though our broader team has a large proportion of contractors, everyone works together as a team and we have very strong loyalty.

    Cons

Diversity is very low in the Engineering group. I think we would benefit from broadening the background from which we recruit.

    Advice to Management

I think management is doing very well, I just wish we would accelerate the pace by which we are expanding our "global platform" to other markets. At this rate, we may never get there.

I have been working at Walmart eCommerce full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Top talent, latest technologies, nice people, competitive compensation, growth opportunity.

    Cons

Parking at Sunnyvale is an issue. The parking garage is a bit far and the shuttle provided takes about 10 minutes. Management is actively working on a solution.
Green card processing is a general problem facing every company now. It's possible that it's a problem like every place else.

    Advice to Management

Please fix the parking problem in Sunnyvale

    Pros

You can find some highly intelligent and strategic thinkers here. The company systematically rewards familial culture and creating personal relationships. Great place to work!

    Cons

People are too nice and don't hold each other accountable to failure.

    Advice to Management

Spend some time building credibility among lower level associates.

I worked at Walmart eCommerce full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Walmart gave me the opportunity to work on something that nobody else can do. I can thank them for that. Furthermore, the culture and values of the company have made me a better person. I had the opportunity to travel internationally and truly build world-class teams. The company has the resources to really lean into strategic initiatives, and treats its people with the utmost care and respect.

    Cons

I can't think of anything bad to say. Please note that the CEO is new to the company, but I believe that he will do a good job.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Walmart eCommerce as a contractor (Less than a year)

The customer is always #1, and the employees are just as important. Great camaraderie. And, those Bentonville folks are pretty awesome, too! I was lucky to work with a super awesome and caring management and group of people.

    Cons

I do not have any cons.

I worked at Walmart eCommerce as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

They worked with you to show you all parts of the Walmart eCommerce business before delving into your individual projects.

    Cons

Right now Walmart is doing everything in their power to compete with Amazon. Because of this they have a "do it now, fix it later" mentality which can be detrimental at times

    Advice to Management

I would say they need to structure the intern experience more especially for the eCommerce interns. It was definitely unorganized many times
