    Pros

Walmart.com is at the cutting edge of online retail. It's a dynamic environment in which smart, intelligent people are excited about the work they do. Communication and information-sharing is very open, and people respect each other. I was also surprised by how diverse a community it is.

    Cons

The only downside has been that the Benefits package, although adequate, isn't as good as it is at other companies in the Bay Area.

    Advice to Management

Senior management does a great job of sharing information, fostering pride in the company's successes and garnering excitement about the future of the company.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Interesting cross-channel challenges to tackle
    Smart people
Amazing leverage (size, scale of Walmart Stores)
    Wonderful people

    Cons

    Integration challenges can get tiring
Trips to Arkansas can get tiring
The company is now very large and with that size some of the nimbleness of the earlier years have necessarily gone away

    Advice to Management

    NA

    Pros

Great work life balance, great, friendly people and relaxed environment; opportunity to work on *big* projects that really make a difference, large budgets, tons of exposure to senior execs and senior partners at suppliers

    Cons

Quite political - not clear how / why promotions happen, and performance sometimes seems second to peoples' ability to work the system.

I have been working at Walmart eCommerce full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Hands on open source projects; no political BS, no 'oh-we-can't-use-gplv2' big company crap.
    - Very flat and transparent from management
    - Recognition for what you have done, but no micro management
    - Food/Snack on Fri/Wed (I know we are no Google/Facebook, but it ain't bad at all. There had been some really weird cuisines, like Myanmar...)
    - Constant nerf war (wait, I should put this under Cons)

    Cons

    - Like others said, health insurance is really subpar. Hope the management can do something about it. It's really a drag for people with family.
    - Constant nerf war (wait, I should put this under Pros)

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.

    Pros

Walmart is always looking to technology for better, smarter data to make decisions with. This means that techies are always welcomed!

    Cons

High paced, high pressure work environment

    Advice to Management

Give techies more time to complete what they need to do. They are smart people, let them do their job

    Pros

Innovative, team environment, incredible talent, ability to drive large decisions, customer focused

I have been working at Walmart eCommerce full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Strong culture. Lot of extra curricular activities :) Supportive environment. Lot of knowledge in-house. Industry leader. Will look excellent on resume. eCommerce treated different from Stores as a company. Smart leadership willing to make changes.

    Cons

Not many that I can think of. I believe some legacy policies/work processes taken from store need update/changes - while the dotocm business needs to utilize legacy knowledge, it also needs to evolve from it.
