I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 20 years

      Pros

Team-oriented, yet flexible to allow you to be independent and accountable for your actions. When you get a manager that understands your strengths/interests and helps you continue to build on those skills are a plus. You can leave early or work from home when necessary, but don't abuse it. Team-building activities within the team and community are good as well.

      Cons

As expected, there can be long hours depending on the project.

      No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 6 years

      Pros

High income compared to the same role with other companies. You learn a lot about retail management.

      Cons

Long hours, inconsistent shifts, little respect from higher leadership, constant stress, always expected to do “extra” (nothing is good enough), lots of changes right now (uncertain job security).

      Advice to Management

Learn how to talk to people and practice the Company’s core values daily.

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 6 years

      Pros

      Great benefits, great team environment.

      Cons

      Long hours, whiny lower associates.

      Advice to Management

I started as an hourly associate and after putting in time and hard work promoted into salaried management. Through all the years and people I encountered the worst were the lowest level. They are always the ones that do the least amount of work they can get away with and complain the most. The job is what you make of it. The people who complain of low wages: you agreed to those terms when you hire on, of you dknt like...

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 20 years

      Pros

Benefits, pay, opportunity to advance, opportunity to continue furthering your education for $1 a day

      Cons

Long hours, no life work balance, you are expected to give up all holidays, have work email on your personal phone which goes off all day. You get contacted by your superiors at any time including when you are of or on vacation. Culture was great but it dies with Mr Sam

      Advice to Management

If you want to make money, like working with people, do not have major health issues like high blood pressure, heart condition and do not mind spending holidays working, this is the job for you.
