I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Career Opportunity seems vast, very little micro management, opportunities to manage others available, great team environment, able to learn several different types of business in one company

    Cons

Location of HO, currently multiple layoff cycles, difficult to move into new area even though vast opportunities are sold as positive

I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The company will promote and train from within if the associate shows they have good work ethic- you can't teach a good work ethic

    Cons

They layoff every year-it's not fun being worried about your job every January

    Advice to Management

Do the layoffs once and do them right so we don't have to do this again.
