    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Vast opportunities, Insurance, Stock options, and Travel opportunities

    Cons

Wages are the worst considering the work/life balance. The Store Manager is by far the worst I have ever had the misfortune to cross path with. At some point the man was considered passionate, concerned, enthusiastic and etc. All I witnessed was a jaded, disheartened, apathetic, impassive, unattached individual. The stores moral and management has suffered.

    Advice to Management

Terminate or relocate current management team, restructure the entire store management. Evaluate employees frequently for advancement/relocation. Strongly consider evaluating the extremely poor work/life balance around holidays for all employees

I worked at Walmart part-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

-Breaks (two 15-minute breaks and an hour lunch if you work a full shift) -Employee discount (10% off most merchandise and produce, grocery not included) -Meet new people -Learn pretty much any retail skill; if not part of your job, you can usually cross-train

    Cons

-Low pay -Inconsistent schedule No benefits -No consideration of health issues -No work/life balance -Little to no training -Poor management -Understaffed/overworked -Prevailing "Not my job" attitude (which is to be expected when employees are under-trained, underpaid, and under-appreciated, but this in turn makes it harder for others to do their jobs)

    Advice to Management

Employees are people, not machines. You can't squeeze as much work out of people for as little pay as possible and expect anyone to care about the job--and it shows. This drives away not only employees, but also customers.

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    - Great work life balance(heavily skewed towards life) - Walmart associate discount - Flexible work timings

    Cons

    - The most toxic work culture you'll be in.. you'll constantly see people talking behind others' backs, spreading rumors, gossiping, throwing others under the bus : this doesn't stop at the associate level, but is very common among management. - Managers take credit all too often for their direct report's work, even without giving any input - be very wary of sharing ideas/solutions here, because what you share all too...

    Advice to Management

    - Your middle management layer is fat and full of 'dead weights', you need to trim the middle management layer(Director, Senior Director) across the board. - Promote/ Give good raises(or evals) for competence for a change. - Identify the source of the toxicity and coach them for attitude/ kick them out if their attitude doesn't show improvement.
