I have been working at Walser full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company has been a breath of fresh air. While it is an automotive sales company there are a ton of options for people who may not want to sell. If you are a great employee but maybe not the best salesperson, they work with you to find you a role within the company that you and the management think you'd be better suited for.
In terms of the environment it's a great place to work in sales for motivated people. The one thing that shows, especially with promotions, is that the company cares less about experience or 'time in the seat' than they do hiring someone with the ability to get the job done. They show an amazing capacity to hire people and train them into a role rather than expect them to know it when they get it.

    Cons

It's a sales job, there is flexibility in scheduling which is awesome but not always consistency. There are some late nights every now and again...because you're selling a car!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! There is a really strong core of management staff that are always willing to mentor the newer employees and continue to set an example of what to strive for!

I worked at Walser full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Cool people,
    Great training,
    Good hourly,
Possibility to make money if your a better salesman than your paycheck will say.

    Cons

The bonus structure is unbelievably difficult to hit you will be dodging deals at the end of the month to keep your PVR good.

The CEO’s of course pocket an unbelievable amount of money.

They’ll flood the showroom floor in the winter and no one will bonus only make their hourly pay.

    Advice to Management

Make the pay plan more reasonable

I have been working at Walser full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A family business that continues to grow. There are many ways to advance within the company- internal promotions happen often and knowledge/experience seems to be the biggest deciding factor with promotions versus length of time in the company.

    Cons

All of the best bonuses/contests/vacations are only awarded to dealership employees in Sales or Service. Corporate and Admin roles never get the chance to win anything great

    Advice to Management

More employee recognition would be nice. Reward your hard workers- not just your best salespeople.

    Pros

Fun environment to work in. Plenty to learn and opportunities to grow. Great Company for aquiring the right skills in a changing industry.

    Cons

Working every saturday. Pay plan not incentivized enough to make a good living. The sales incentives are set to be almost unatainable.

    Advice to Management

Do not let your emploees burn out. Too many responsibilities for the pay.
