I have been working at Warnaco Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great corporate environment, focussed on challenging your mind as well as your body. Excellent management group open to share and help mentor personnel. Upper management fosters open door policy.

    Cons

The down town location is a challenge to get to and being in a high-rise with many other companies is a constant task for parking and vendor access. All the security that comes with being in alive studio facility limits free access to grounds. Lunch options are 15 min walk away.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep personnel in the loop to foster a greater sense of team.

I worked at Warnaco Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It was a comfortable environment, the director of my department trusted me to do my job and but was always available if needed.

    Cons

There were a lot of issues with the processing system we used. We were constantly on the phone trying to get the error corrected.

I worked at Warnaco Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great place to work. Great Benefits, pay and opportunity for advancement. Was a great time in my career, best move I ever made.

    Cons

Company acquired by a competitor, many people lost their jobs, local office shut down. Wish it could have lasted longer.

    Advice to Management

Very approachable, people could approach the CEO no matter what level they were and many were known by name. Fairly big company with a small company feel

    Pros

Overall a great culture and work life balance. Casual dress code, easy going staff. Good opportunity for growth.

    Cons

Need to work on acquiring better talent. Average age of employees is easily in the 50's. Many people are technologically inept.

    Advice to Management

Recruit better talent straight out of college. There are many "lifers" who are just there to collect a paycheck and go home. Need more people who are looking for growth.

amazing internship experience with lots of workshops to further learning and helpful reviews.

    Cons

i stared at a computer screen all day. upper management tends to give insufficient guidance.

    Advice to Management

tell your employees what you want from them, don't just expect perfection when offering minimal guidance.

    Pros

Corporate atmosphere was friendly and supportive. Everyone is willing to educate employees to make their experience and job position fulfilling and well-rounded. Learned a great deal about the retail industry as well as financial planning.

    Cons

Mediocre pay and long hours lead to burned out employees who ended up walking around the office multiple times a day.

    Advice to Management

Senior management could benefit from some seminars on how to work with employees. Praise seldoms comes after hard work and it seems some employees receive preferential treatment in regards to bonuses and position advancement.

I worked at Warnaco Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Getting a huge employee discount on Warnaco's brands, loading up my wardrobe with many giveaway sample items, excellent health benefits, good holidays and vacations, good 401(k) plan, decent profit sharing. It also has a somewhat relaxed, creative and open culture.

    Cons

Limited growth in some areas, like IT, especially depending on your location. Fairly high staff turnover (although I don't know if it's unusual for that industry.) Raises and promotions are minimal unless you are already higher up.
