I have been working at Warner Bros. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

WB offers a competitive salary and there's always interesting projects going on. The health benefits are also really good. Working on the lot is exciting because there are interesting events happening all the time so I would argue that working on the lot is a major perk to employment at WB.

    Cons

Due to the nature of the entertainment industry, deadlines are extremely aggressive and oftentimes unrealistic. This puts a strain on working relationships inside the office because people are always on edge.

    Advice to Management

Change is never easy, but it would be great if there was more transparency on organizational changes before they happen.

I worked at Warner Bros. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No one micromanages your time at work
Can come and go as you please

    Cons

It's a kill or be killed environment (lots of backstabbing and throwing people under the bus mentality)
    No support of superiors
Rude coworkers who try to assert their power
Awful executive team that use their position to get their way
    No checks and balances
    No accountability
    Disorganized
    Use of intimidation is ridiculous
Awful benefits package (was denied my accrued vacation pay)

    Advice to Management

Lose the attitude and take care of your employees. Don't play favorites with teams. Executives/supervisors need to stop interfering with tasks that don't involve them (they don't need to approve what soap is used in the restrooms)

I have been working at Warner Bros. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My experience here has been amazing, great people, fun work space- people passionate about creating. The creative energy and love for creating content is everywhere.

    Cons

I believe the most common method of teaching seems to be "throwing you in the deep end" so to speak, not a terrible thing- but it can be jarring.

    Advice to Management

Communication with the team on a regular basis, from what I have seen this isn't a huge problem but more is always better IMO

I have been working at Warner Bros. (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun place to work in the studio environment

    Cons

Decentralized Marketing groups make it hard to own strategies and make improvements

    Advice to Management

Create centers of excellence for major marketing strategies rather than allowing each division to develop their own strategies working with different agencies.

I worked at Warner Bros. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - very nice coworkers
    - events organized for interns where they can interact/ make friends
    - really liked their mentorship program, I was paired up with a mentor who's working in a different department but in the field/profession that I was interested in

    Cons

    - the company is big and lots of buildings at the lot, so if you want to contact other departments (like HR), you'd have to call/email. But usually they are pretty accessible.

    Advice to Management

    N/A

I have been working at Warner Bros. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've been with Warner Bros. for less than 1 year and have had the opportunity to work with various levels of upper management, ranging from Vice Presidents to Executive Vice Presidents, and everything in between. These opportunities have come my way, because I go out looking for them. People here (including management at all levels) are very approachable, and are willing to give you a chance, if you have an idea that you want to run by them.

As far as working on the lot, it's great! One of the few movie/tv studios where you'll actually get to see them filming somethings! Lots of extra curricular activities for employees, family oriented company, with a good work-life balance (unless you work in some of the finance departments, but that's expected). Benefits are good as well.

    Cons

The pay may not be as great as a direct competitor and there are a few cultural issues, but the company is working on it. It's great to know that they do not just ignore problems that their employees have raised.

    Advice to Management

Encourage, inspire and lead your team. Always give constructive criticism and not just criticism. Remember that helping your subordinates, is helping yourself.
