    Pros

Decent wage, flex work hours, good benefits.

    Cons

Almost impossible to evolve or get the raise you deserve. You better negotiate before being hired.

I worked at Warner Music full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Casual work environment, good music, half the people are really nice.

    Cons

Senior management seem to really hate each other and work against each other making for a terrible work environment. They will stab you in the back at the earliest opportunity. No internal communication between departments which causes a lot of tension. 'Us and Them' mentality between departments so no one works together. It's amazing any music gets released at all. Very top heavy management. Every new hire seems to come in as a Vice President and are at least 10 EVPs. Job titles have become a joke. VERY LOW SALARIES. Very low morale. Very high staff turn over.

    Advice to Management

Fire all senior staff who have been there for 15 years or longer. They are ruining the company. All the decent young A&R staff (ie the future of the company) have left because of them. If you don't sign new bands, you eventually will have no company.

I worked at Warner Music full-time

    Pros

Free concert tickets, great parties, young and fun enviroment

    Cons

Not many people actually progress through the company. Alot of sideways movement is needed to make any real progress. Many people get stuck on same salary and title for very long time. Low salary compared to other industries.

    Advice to Management

Nurture the talent already in the company instead of hiring people from other major labels

I worked at Warner Music full-time

    Pros

Fun environment if you like music

    Cons

Terrible benefits (health, vacation, etc), no learning structure or opportunities, favoritism - management clearly shows which employees they favor by giving them opportunities - others are left to pick up the work no one wants to do, while management hopes they leave

I worked at Warner Music full-time

    Pros

Working in the music industry means lots of free perks and a fairly casual work environment.

    Cons

Most of us were doing jobs that should have been done by 3 people. Overworked and underpaid.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your top performers are adequately compensated and cared for (more vacation time or flex time) or they WILL burn out.

I worked at Warner Music full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Staff was very friendly, nice location, and the salary was pretty good in terms of industry standards. And sometimes you'd get a musician coming in to play.

    Cons

Not much room for growth, inter company politics was common, and management at times didn't understand how hard some of the work was.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your team and see their needs.

I have been working at Warner Music full-time

    Pros

Some people are nice. Casual dress code. Artists perform at the office from time to time.

    Cons

The egos man, it is all about the egos and the money. Really hard to grow here too, you gotta stay for years and the pay is awful. This is the smallest out of the big 3 music corps. Might as well go to Universal and get a better paycheck. Also, very clicky! You gotta live and breathe music here and love to hang out with everyone at work all the time, if not - you're pretty much an outcast. Not the right place for employee growth, development, and opportunities. It really sucks.

    Advice to Management

Just implode and rebuild this company again.
