I worked at Warner Music full-time (More than 3 years)
Great science, motivated people, leader in process development. Excellent work life balance, flex hours, work from home. Great place to work for younger workers.
There are frequent changes in the management structure. The org structure is rather flat and it could me difficult to find advancement if you are mid level management. Okay is under market rate generally.
I have been working at Warner Music full-time (Less than a year)
Love the culture, office, music perks, and people!
End around 6:30-7PM, so don't get home until 8.

An amazing opportunity for college kids to get involved in the music industry.
The pay was minimum wage but the perks made up for it (free concert tickets, great contacts, mileage and expenses)
The experience you get from top level people!
Access to information about the music industry to increase your knowledge!
Internal access to move up within the company.
None at all. Just wish cost of travel could be paid to visit HQ in NYC.
Great dining/relaxation/patio area. Most people tend to be friendly and easy going. Casual dress.
My experience was very, very negative, the job description clearly stated that $ was an hourly rate and $$ was an overtime rate, it was pretty clear that I would have to work longer than 8 hours a day. The second manager saw an overtime claim she said to never do it again, even if I had to stay way past 8 hours including working through lunch.
Managers would fairly openly talk about the interviews they would have for the permanent replacement for the position.
The department consists of 3 women, down from 5, and they don't seem to be particularly open to changing that at any point.
Was notified by a smiling manager that today may or may not be the last day of the contract and later was notified over the email that it was the last day indeed.
Finally constant conversations about restaurants and the burning desire to get married.
Advice to Management
it is the music industry
the pay could be better
I worked at Warner Music part-time (More than a year)
Incredibly Flexible Schedule
Exposure to Music industry
Relatively easy work load
Some supervisors are available 24/7
Some promotions were a little starry eyed; dependent on local businesses committing to events that were not guaranteed to happen
Better suited for a freshman or sophomore in college - the position doesn’t stimulate intellectual abilities; may be a little frustrating for someone further in their degree, unless adamantly pursuing career in music industry
Social media based promotions from company accounts - not much interest from “followers” because entire feed reads like an advertisement but supervisors expect results
Requires hanging a lot of posters that so few people actually care about
Advice to Management
Consider less posters, and more engaging tools
Recruiting lower level college students
Allowing reps to use personal social media accounts to promote artists online instead of the city’s WMG accounts
Laid back environment, good work life balance, good pay and benefits
lots of separation between labels, lots of egos walking around

Working as a marketing rep for this company was such a wonderful experience. Great atmosphere, people and artists. Flexible and friendly!
I really don't have any cons to offer at this time. If you are looking into entry level positions, warner is a great place to start.
Advice to Management
Please keep doing what you do. From the marketing perspective, maybe rethink the counts on some of your promotional tools.
fun culture, smart people, best operational practices. The WEA Team at WMG works very hard to ensure accurate and on time delivery of products.
It is difficult to get promoted here no matter how hard you work or how well you do.
