I worked at Warwick Construction full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, leadership, and teamwork. I think this company is very well run and managed. They care about their customers, employees and vendors. They pay their bills exceptionally well, a rare thing in this industry.

    Cons

Some of their retail customers are nuts to work for. I simply did not like working for some of the retailers they have as customers. They were unrealistic in their expectations and everything has to go perfectly to keep these customers happy, one mistake and they are done. So stressful working under those conditions. Nothing Warwick could have done to improve that, just the nature of the retail beast.

    Advice to Management

Don't put new PMs on new accounts, let them work on smaller existing clients where everyone can help answer questions. Some of the SrPMs are too hands off their new PMs and don't realize things are not going well until it's too late.

I have been working at Warwick Construction full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great time off package, excellent pay and Bonus program. Friendly and fun workplace. Open door policy, great company events and lunchtime darts!

    Cons

I see some negative reviews an everyone is entitled to their opinion. Any company has the everyday issues with personalities clashing. Every company has rules and policies. Yes there are sometimes I will disagree with things but i have to remember I don't make the rules. The great thing is when I have issues I can at anytime speak to my supervisors up to the President.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on trucking!

    Advice to Management

your internal employees come first (after customers), not your subcontractors

    Pros

There seems to be more than enough people employed at Warwick though I'm not sure all are needed. It has a Law office type of feel where there are teams of 3 PM's organized around two admins per team and sharing or talking shop from one team to another is frowned upon. Turns out the head of the construction department is a lawyer by trade so it added up. Lots of legends there and a high amount of turnover. The owner didn't seem as involved as I would have thought and maybe that has something to do with the turn over.

    Cons

The culture in general. Lots of artificial "we're on the same team" type of behaviour but I was left with the impression most wanted to get to know others just well enough to put the knife in the right spot.
Turnover seems to be a strong suit as prior to working there I noticed a pattern and shortly after leaving myself others left as well.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at the culture. In sports say football, the offensive team and the defensive team aren't sharing and communication the global team will suffer. Free up the resource sharing in terms of subs and keep everyone right sized. I had seen turnover was in issue prior to even interviewing and that hasn't changed.
