Decent entry level, but time to move on

      Pros

Good benefits, health insurance. Easy to learn. Always work to do so you can make yourself busier if bored or do the bare minimum if you just wanna skate by and get paid.

      Cons

Very little pto or sick leave, have to use leave for *everything* even just a doctor appt or something, no flexibility in scheduling. No real progression. Management doesn't work to find ways to help you improve and grow. No such thing as a merit based pay increase so you bust your butt to get a good evaluation but can't get any sort of promotion from it.

      Pros

Lots of holidays off. Great family feel when you go to work.Pretty good benefits and fairly decent and set for hours.

      Cons

So much red tape. Plus there's a difference between working for an elected official versus working for an agency. I definitely learned a lot of about the inner workings of government in this position.
