Pros
Great work ethic, lots of opportunities for cross-training, interesting work opportunities.
Cons
No personal desk space or computer

Pros
Infants at work, telework opportunities, modernized workspaces, flexible schedules, usually interesting work
Cons
They are horrible at managing budgets, constantly reorganizing and moving people out of their jobs and under new projects. There are a million HSC 3 positions and hardly anywhere for those people to move up to and often when something does open up- they hire externally. Great for when you have young kids and need some flexibility but if you stay too long you'll turn around and be in the same job class 40 yrs later with no growth esp if you are in management's clique. If no one higher up has an interest in advancing your career you'll be an HSC3 til retirement.

Pros
Interesting work, engaging and supportive teams
Cons
Political and process hoops often create hurdles that hinder progress.
- Former Employee, more than 8 years★★★★★
Pros
Co-workers, location (residential), interesting work
Cons
Management controls every aspect of a bench worker's day. It's incredibly difficult to take ownership of a project or to claim success. There is a culture of blame and micromanagement that makes it incredibly difficult to feel comfortable and successful.

Pros
Interesting work that feels truly connected to the community; committed, passionate coworkers; caring environment where people look out for each other
Cons
Weak technical management. There is more talent among the staff than is being effectively used, and work often ends up being inefficient or misdirected due to lack of focused oversight.
