Pros
Many employees are doing the best that they can in the midst of a pandemic.
Cons
The ER nurses think that if you are coming in with any sort of pain and you can speak and walk on your own two feet than you are a drug addict, especially if you are female or a minority or both. This is hard to watch when you have a family member with a disease such as sarcoidosis, where the person may look alright, but they are suffering internally. They think that women who come in with chest pain are being hysterical or simply having a panic attack especially when they hear you may be taking a small dose of a benzodiazepine to help you sleep and that is prescribed by your doctor for a good reason.

I have loved working on the cardiology unit. My coworkers are team-oriented and leadership has poured into me and supported me. I always feel like I have help when I need it.
Cons
As with any inpatient floor nursing job, schedules can be unpredictable. We are required to float to many other departments.
