Former Employee - Assistant Hall Director

I worked at Washington State University part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Washington State University supports its student workers because they understand the financial demand of a formal education and the importance of sustaining a healthy student life. They're accommodating for sick leave, family emergencies, mental health needs, and for academic support as a university employee. You get great experience working with all sides of the community while getting great financial compensation as a Residence Life employee, specifically as an Assistant Hall Director.

    Cons

You are both a student and a university employee so there may be times when you need to stretch your time between the two roles, mainly when it comes to event days.
