I have been working at Washio

    Pros

Excellent work environment- casual dress code and relaxed environment. I love the ability to take ownership over my projects, which enables me to do things the right way from the ground up. Working schedule is great and everyone shares the same positivity on a daily basis. It is really a place you can feel at home.

    Cons

As it is with any start-up, there are times that you have to buckle down and work hard. To some, this can be stressful, but to others (including me), this is an environment to thrive in.

    I worked at Washio

    Pros

Great coworkers helped keep me going through the dark times

    Cons

They lied, they lied a lot. They kept everyone in the dark, including upper management. They never told us where the investments were going.

    I worked at Washio full-time

    Pros

Fun, young office culture. Lunches and snacks were provided daily. The team I worked with was the best, we worked well together even when things were stressful and frustrating.

    Cons

Stressful and frustrating. Very little clear communication between the management team and the lower level employees while I was there. We were kept in the dark about a number of things. Did not feel like feedback we provided as a team was seriously taken into account when making adjustments to the day-to-day operations of the company. Very little opportunity for upward mobility in the company if you were good at your current job. At times, the executive team gave off vibes of workplace misogyny. It was never directed at myself, but I witnessed my fair share directed at coworkers.

I worked at Washio for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility to work when you want, meet nice people, different shifts throught the day, good exercise going up and down stairs.

    Cons

Pay was $7 per stop and many nights i was only getting 3 or 4, but gauranteed min. of $40 for 4 hours..then the pay dropped to only $5 per stop and they expect customers to give tips..they expect you at the drop shop 30 minutes before and check bags but with NO pay...and you drive everywhere in San Francisco a few times before i quit i had to drive 30 minutes due to traffic and distance for only $7 no tips at that time. alot of wear and tear on your car... STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND CONTRACTORS better off working for a company that is W2

I worked at Washio for more than a year

    Pros

You are paid per order, not sure what it's at now but it was $7 per order you receive and it started off with a good amount of orders but over time became less and less and I was only making $98 per day. It's decent if you're looking for something where you set your own schedule. Again, this would probably just be a good temporary job.

    Cons

Besides the fact that you had to drive in awful traffic hours, the income is not steady and there was really no source of communication. You would be headed to an order that someone else was headed to as well. So the Washio app was fauly. Also was let go without warning, so that was a surprise.
