I have been working at Waste Connections full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The culture at WC is what sets it apart. It feels like a family business but has the opportunity and resources that come with a large organization. The decentralized structure, servant leader style of management, and focus on safety drives continued success.

    Cons

This business is not for the faint of heart. It requires focus, dedication, and willingness work hard every day.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what your doing!

I have been working at Waste Connections part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I work as a CSR part time and I really enjoy the job. It is fast paced and if you like helping customers over the phone then it is a great job. The pay is very competitive with other similar call center positions.

    Cons

While typically fully staffed some days might be extremely busy with many calls holding. It can be stressful if you allow it to be.

    Advice to Management

A little more hands on training with trucks and containers would be nice.

I worked at Waste Connections full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Emphasis on professional development for those interested in advancing careers.

    Cons

Operate too lean a labor force contributing to employee burnout.

    Advice to Management

Better evaluate staffing needs and actually put into practice steward leadership management at lower paid staff levels.
