I have been working at Water Country USA part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, Great Co-Workers, flexible hours, constant hours. You will never have a dull day, something new will always happen. Pretty much guaranteed a job when applying. Unlimited free admission to all Seaworld parks and free tickets for family members.

    Cons

You have to take of 17 days in advance, and even then it may not get approved. Ugly uniforms.

    Advice to Management

Only promote people that have at least three seasons of experience, instead of someone who just got hired.

I worked at Water Country USA part-time

    Pros

-Lots of hours. -Co-workers were really friendly. -Free admission to all SeaWorld parks + complimentary tickets if you work there more then a month. -1/2 of the guests were pleasant. Some I even had really good conversations with.

    Cons

-10+ hour days were very common. -Very little breaks for the hard work. -The heat was unbearable. All they give you is water and you have to call the supervisor to even go get some. Almost fainted multiple times. -1/2 the guests were not pleasant. Had someone yell at me in a foreign language I could not understand for 20 minutes. -Uniform was horrible and uncomfortable. -Lots of walking since it’s a big park. -Lots of issues. Cash registers broke, customers angry, supervisors not trained enough.

    Advice to Management

MORE BREAKS! Employees are working in 90+ degree heat with little to no shade for hours at a time.

I worked at Water Country USA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun environment for high school and college kids. Decent pay for individuals that fit into those age ranges. Great interaction with customers.

    Cons

Very crafty at dodging overtime requirements. Seem to take advantage of their youth heavy employees. Twelve hour days were not uncommon at all.

    Advice to Management

Be a little more considerate about scheduling. Be way more considerate with hour requirements. Great job on the community feel while working there.

I have been working at Water Country USA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Plenty of hours
    Fun environment
    Great Supervisors
    Mostly Nice Guests
    Meaningful Work
    Did I mention the hours?

    Cons

The days are long... They schedule you for 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. It would be nice to have some breaks so you don't get sick of working there so quickly.

    Advice to Management

Split the life guards shifts into two shifts! It is ridiculous working for so many hours a day so many days a week. Especially when your in the sun all day long...

    Pros

Free tickets to Busch and WCUSA. Discounts and good food. Cool people to work with.

    Advice to Management

    Get it together.

    Pros

Somewhat decent job first job if you don't mind being in the sun all day long.
Good on a resume for the customer service.

    Cons

Out in the hot sun 90-95%+ of the time. (exclusions are breaks and bad weather)
    Keeping Bathrooms clean, nuff said.
Just a tad bit above minimum wage.

I worked at Water Country USA part-time

    Pros

Fun working environment full of lifers and people looking to move onto bigger and better things. After the initial pre season rush it was pretty easy and I got paid decently to do my job.

    Cons

It's obvious that the place is pretty much falling apart. I worked in water quality and the pipes were for the most part pieced together with stuff from 20 years ago.
