    I have been working at Water and Sewerage Authority full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Environment is quite friendly and productive. Great co workers, depending on department you are in excellent and flexible supervisor. Time off if needed.

    Cons

    Budget cuts, doing more with less. Management can sometimes make decisions in a vacuum without consultation from staff to get better solution.

    Advice to Management

    Alot of work go unnoticed, stop and congratulate staff.

    A healthy environment for a young engineer to grow and establish him or herself technically. Efficient. Puts tools of the trade to practice.

    Cons

    State owned so funding may impede task progress at times.

    Dedicated coworkers
    Workers kept treatment plants operational, sometimes, with very little support from top management, because they took pride in the vital service they performed

    Cons

    Corrupt top managers
    Politics as it is rears it's ugly head at this company, making it probably the biggest political football in the country

    opportunities to study, flexible working hours

    Cons

    lousy, crappy salary, no promotions in sight, no recognition of work done, work culture and work ethic and morale is low.

    salaries are good compared to other companies. It is responsible for the most important resource in the country. Government owned
