    Pros

Great brand, great heritage, great products

    Cons

Management change with acquisitions - lack of focus beyond current month

    Advice to Management

Need to seriously reconsider new direction turning Waterford Wedgwood into Royal Copenhagen wont work

I worked at Waterford Wedgwood full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - World renown brand name with strong reputation for your résumé
    - Lean organization with very hands-on approach; allows employees to really learn and hone their skills as they work
    - Excellent Central Jersey location; great for serious employees not looking to travel to NYC
    - Standard working hours plus summer schedule
    - Employee discount

    Cons

    - Upper management takes advantage of the work-life balance the location affords; low pay for industry
    - No promotion from within; to get a 'industry-aligned' pay increase, you have to leave
    - When key team members leave, their work is divided amongst remaining members, not a replacement hire

    Advice to Management

You are a powerhouse brand within the industry. Treat your employees as such. Institute career tracking, work with employees to develop their skills and you will retain the top talent you helped create (that you are losing to competitors)

I have been working at Waterford Wedgwood full-time (More than 8 years)

    - Purchased by Capitol investment company a couple of years ago and is in good economic standing
    - wonderful work environment
    - great workforce, people are very pleasant
    - summer Fridays
    - room for growth in some departments

    Cons

    - lower pay scale
    - random location
    - no room for growth in some departments
    - lots of slackers who aren't getting fired

    Advice to Management

Be more aggressive about replacing non-performers!

  5. "TERRIBLE SALES MANAGEMENT CURRENTLY"

    Star Star Star Star Star

    Pros

aesthetically pleasing product - although not in demand any longer.

    Cons

Horrible upper sales management -- no consistency in treatment of employees -- promotions, firings, positions are all granted based on who the arrogant VP likes and doesn't like . A few real professionals there however most are back stabbing un-professionals. Upper management discuss others in the company behind their backs -- serious health issues are an annoyance to the company knowing the individual may not be up to par for a short amount of time. The company has been sold twice within 6 years which should speak volumes.

    Advice to Management

Run the company in a professional manner.

    Pros

Waterford Wedgwood was a good place to work. The management kept us as informed as possible. Employees were valued as people, not just as cogs in the wheel. While pay was not exceptional, I was happy working there since I was always treated fairly.

    Cons

The greatest challenge was always financial in nature. Product was often not available in a timely fashion or prices had to be increased to a level that was too prohibitive to be successful.

    Advice to Management

The executives that I had access to were all very talented and doing their absolute best to make the company successful. Unfortunately there were too many factors that could not be rectified and ultimately capsized the retail portion of the company.

I worked at Waterford Wedgwood as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice colleagues, 9 - 5 is acceptable, everyone was genuinely working hard.

    Cons

    No visibility of senior management.

    Advice to Management

Initiatives need to be enforced and aligned from the top, otherwise changes will not happen.

    Pros

The product and the people who have worked hard to put Waterford and Wedgwood products to the market

    Cons

KPS Capital Fundings values regarding people and their human resources philosophy

    Advice to Management

It appears the only thing that is important is making the bottom line look good so they can sell the company
