I worked at Waters (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I was fortunate to have a great run for a great boss for >10yrs at Waters. I was never afraid to take on projects or responsibilities and was rewarded for all that I did. Was exposed to the full spectrum of a very successful company. Lots of opportunity if you're willing to work for it. Good people throughout.

    Cons

It had to come to an end. New Dir and I did not see eye to eye..time for a change had come.

    Advice to Management

New top management since I left and I'm out of touch with current status. What you had was good, hope it still is.

I worked at Waters full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Very Stable
    - Good benefits & 401k
    - Flexible

    Cons

    - Doesn't 'share the wealth' with employees: low comp & bonus
    - Slow moving
    - Boys club, if your not a 'member of the fraternity' don't expect to be promoted
    - Low rate of promotion
    - Low comp
    -

    Advice to Management

    - Get rid of the 'boys club' mindset. Women aren't inferior and have a lot to offer.
    - If you value your employees prove it - don't just give bonus' to sales guys
    - When the company has a massive quarter and increases stay the same there is an issue

I worked at Waters full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    They match 6% for 401k

    Cons

Management treats hourly employees like first graders. Remember having to raise your hand to use the toilet in elementary school? It's kind of like that there. Some managers bring a dark cloud with them to work and Waters Corp loves them. They threaten employees. If you are out sick they, demand you work Saturday to make up the time. Saturdays are overtime, but they expect you to work it straight time. They did this to me.
Operators are walking on eggshells. They are afraid to say anything. It is a horrible atmosphere there. And if a operator does say anything, forget it, their career there is over. They are very vindictive. If you are a brown-nosing bootlicker, who wants to be degraded into submission, then this company is for you.

    Advice to Management

    Stop being so creepy.
