I have been working at Waterton full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Benefits, my co-workers, great location in Chicago! I joined Waterton after really being sold the recruiter on what a great company it was. I am proud to say that there was truth in advertising! I have really enjoyed the variety in my work and the chances I have had to meet new people and learn.

    Cons

Sometimes things are moving so quickly that there isn't a lot of communication between departments.

    Advice to Management

Continue to actively listen to feedback you receive and make sure you do something with it. I think that this is something that is being done - it should continue.

    Advice to Management

Develop a consistent and robust training program. Provide clear expectations of deadlines and tasks to be completed. Hold performance reviews regularly. Do not dismiss requests for additional resources and training. In regards to strong HR policies, do well to practice what is preached.

    I worked at Waterton

    Pros

Decent priced benefits if single person. Starting pay is ok for industry

    Cons

Absolutely NO company culture. No company events. No volunteer work. No communication between sister properties. No such thing was “Waterton Way” No orientation or complete training. You listen to a few GraceHill videos. that’s it. Then once in a while you’ll “refer to SOP” No room for advancement if not in the right region. I worked at Waterton full-time

    Pros

    Decent Pay, Quick Hiring Process

    Cons

No work life balance, Unprofessional Management team that will scream at you and put you down, Harassing Upper Management with a corporate office that turns a blind eye,

    Advice to Management

Corporate should forgo the handbook completely because it lets management do whatever they like include harass employees. Corporate can also get rid of formality of having core values because the company doesn't embody them

I have been working at Waterton

    Pros

I do not have any pros to share in regards to working for this company.

    Cons

Upper level management. There is no support from upper level management whatsoever. Upper level management runs their sites to the ground due to negligence and/ or not being the right person for the role. These individuals continue to skate by in their current role and delegate that the on site team has to clean up a mess that should never have been if they had competent and equipped upper management. Cons

Inconsistencies with the hiring process No support from Upper Management Overworked and undervalued

    Advice to Management

You should be consistent with hiring and promoting. How can you expect anyone to grow within your organization when an employee is doing everything required from you and then some, excel in those areas, only to be overlooked for a promotion to an external candidate? It makes your current employees feel undervalued and unappreciated and in turn creates an unhappy work environment. Not everyone wants to remain complicit...
