I have been working at Waterway Gas & Wash part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay during summer. You get $4 per hour plus tips. You could easily go home with $100+ in your pocket. Good workout.

    Cons

Physical labor. You have to deal with all of the elements! Not enough time for breaks during summer. You'll probably get interrogated if you take too long in the restroom.

I worked at Waterway Gas & Wash part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You walked out with a lot of cash and I'm pretty sure you got free hot dogs and soda fountain drinks?

    Cons

Weather was awful. Managers put too much stress on you without actually doing any of it themselves. Expect to get stiffed on cars because it happens.

    Advice to Management

Understand that it's hard for people to hear you on a $4 walkie talkie as your talk to 3 other people and giant blowers are blasting in a tunnel.

I have been working at Waterway Gas & Wash part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are a few pros to this job
     - great pay for a high school student or a college student. If weather is good and you work about 8 hours you can usually make above minimum wage if you work for it
     - you get to learn how to deal with management and customers
     - you get 10 cents of gas (if you can count that as a pro)

    Cons

There are so many cons to this job
     - flexible hours only if you are stern with management and tell them only this much and on these days
     - your money is dependent on how much work you want to do, how much of a jerk you want to be to other line associates, and most importantly on the weather. You can make over $100 a day but you are exerting over 110% every day and will exhaust yourself.
     - on rainy days or slow days you are still paid a wage but do not receive as many tips. Also, you will be scrubbing walls inside the tunnel and doing work just to keep you busy in front of customers.
     - No lunch break or any break. You do not get free drinks, let alone water it costs 25 cents for water and about a dollar for a drink unless you bring your own bottle.
     - There a few good days when you say " I was happy to go to work today"
     - your only benefit is you get a free car wash
     - If you want employee of the month you basically will be on your knees for management for a $50 gas card

    Advice to Management

Fully understanding this isn't in your control, but a least boost employees pay during days when you do less than 80 cars to minimum wage. Just because the employees are there on a rainy day does not mean that you need us to clean everything in site. Try to understand your employees and maybe try to increase employee moral on busy days by not being jerks but helping a hand.

I have been working at Waterway Gas & Wash part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good money, fun people, Get to keep your car clean. overall good job with great pros.

    Cons

Not many cons except for low hourly pay, weather can be super hot and super cold and we're always open.also they dont promote employees been working for over a year and 3 months and i always get complimented on my work. I've received an award and i still make starting pay because "they dont give raises unless your promoted" but i still havent been promoted.

    Advice to Management

Promote you long time loyal employees that work hard every week for you. We deserve it. or at least make it to where we can have a raise without promotion.
