Pros
They try to help adjunct get the hours they need. Pay decent Benefits good
Cons
No acknowledgement of longevity as an adjunct - we have nothing to show for the years there or acknowledgement for it. You may or may not get hours you want. You have to teach many different classes each semester to get hours.

Insurance is fantastic! Work from home 2-3 days a week if approved by your department Beautiful main campus Students are great Adjunct faculty are great
Cons
HR is a huge con - they need to get rid of the main people in that office. They are very unethical and should be let go for that reason alone. They do not value the employees at all. Do not go to HR for anything. The way they have treated several employees, I know for a fact is unethical standards and practices. Administration needs to be replaced. They promote their friends who text all day while working or leave campus for hours. All the managers, deans, assistant deans need to go. They hire people without experience in these positions, but then HR won’t let a good support staff member move forward for an internal interview. Those in higher up positions do not work hard at all and are very uneducated in higher education. Employees hear the meetings they attend and I cannot believe these people have jobs and make over 90K for doing nothing for the college, staff, and students. There is no room for internal promotions for support staff—do not try! The college loses so many great people this way, they always hire externally. You have to be friends with someone higher up to get what you want, so certain people get promoted because of favoritism even though they are late, on their phone, leaving work early, etc. Support staff will be given more work, tons more work, their job will change completely and head of HR will deny a salary adjustment and title change and just say update the job description. If you need to completely change the job description Michelle Needham, then that is a title change and salary adjustment. The amount of support staff that were denied reclassifications was upsetting. To overload a person with work without any adjustment to the position is unethical as well. I’m speaking up for the employees at WCC. I hope the President reads these comments and makes a change for the better. HR pays a higher salary to new hires than employees who have been there for YEARS. It has taken my friends 6+ years to make what they are offering new hires, how is that allowed?

Good team and campus facilities
Cons
Poor upper management experience here. Touts leadership academy but doesn't really support employee advancement

Pros
I work with the best colleagues!! The faculty are excellent and care for their students. This is why we stay.
Cons
The majority of administrators are toxic. They gaslight faculty and do not respect their input. Don't speak up for what is right, or you will be terminated. You will not advance unless you are a 'yes man.' Administrators are threatened by those who are more educated and intelligent than they.
